Spooky ABC
Is a phonetically based writing game which teaches children to form their letters in a style which will form the foundations for joined up writing. Error-less learning is assured as letter formation is modelled and only the correct form is taken as the 'right', answer. Differentiation is possible through choosing either the simpler or more elaborate cursive lettering. Phonetic spelling practice and a bonus drawing/ number game are included as motivating rewards and to develop numeracy and literacy skills. |
Pocket Playground
A Social Communication app to support children's understanding of making friends. A potential tool for developing social skills in autistic children as uses behaviourist principles, interaction is reinforced. The child does not get the opportunity to gain a star until they have played with all their friends and therefore made them happy. Can be personalised by making models of key friends and recording good friendship making sentences. |
